‘A Sudden Case of Christmas’
- Shout! Studios, rated PG, DVD
“A Sudden Case of Christmas” sees a couple — Abbie and Jacob Randall (Lucy DeVito and Wilmer Valderrama) — take their daughter, Claire (Antonella Rose) to see her grandfather (Danny DeVito) who has a hotel in the mountains of Italy. Abbie, Jacob and Claire visit each Christmas, but this year they arrive in the summer as Abbie and Jacob are getting divorced and they want Claire’s grandfather to break the news to her. When Claire finds out, she asks for one final Christmas at the hotel while her family is still together.
Despite the good cast, which also includes Andie MacDowell and Adrian Dunbar, the movie isn’t very good.
